He was filmed by Laricia after the two had gotten out of their vehicles, as they both engaged in a heated exchange.
In a video, she repeatedly asked Aldrin “why are you hitting me?” to which he replied “why did you give me the middle finger?”.
According to Laricia, a taxi suddenly stopped in front of her and so she indicated to move over to the lane on her right.
As she switched, she ended up in front of Aldrin who she said began to accelerate.
She told local press that “he practically glued himself to my bumper, hooting aggressively”.
It was when she moved back to the left when things took an aggressive turn.
Laricia said that Aldrin abruptly swerved in front of her car, which caused her to make contact with his rear tyre.

Both of them came to a stop, and began arguing with each other.
The young woman became quite upset during the confrontation as the Newzroom Afrika anchor kept asking her why she raised her middle finger at him.
Aldrin then walked back towards his car as Laricia said “where are you going – you’re not going anywhere, you’re staying here”.
The journalist has stated that he went back to his car so that he could collect his phone and drivers license.
Both Laricia and Aldrin exchanged each other’s details, as reported by Need To Know.

Aldrin has since confirmed that he was involved in a minor accident which occurred on 17 April, on a busy street in Randburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
He has said that the collision between himself and Laricia happened after she tried to cut in front of him when the taxi ahead of them stopped.
“At no point did I assault the driver,” Aldrin told local press.
“We have exchanged details.
“I have reported the matter to the police and my legal team will deal with this factually and honestly.”
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Laricia has laid assault charges against the newsreader.
