A group of joggers were left stunned when they spotted a huge snake coiled around a tree on their morning run.
The fitness enthusiasts were doing laps around a city lake when they came across the 10ft-long python lying in the grass.
The runners initially thought the reptile might be dead and probed it with a stick to make sure.

But the snake quickly slithered over to a nearby tree.
The chunky beast coiled itself around the trunk and quickly climbed to the top.
The joggers called the emergency services and a firefighting team arrived on the scene.
They found the snake hiding on a branch at a height of around 30 feet.
Firefighters reportedly used a water gun to blast the python down from an upper branch.
The encounter took place at Taiping Lake Gardens in Taiping, located north-west of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, at around 7.30am yesterday (1 May).

The firefighting team safely removed the python from the park at around 8.20am.
A large crowd gathered to watch the capture, as reported by Need To Know.

They applauded the firefighters as they carried the beast away.
The team took it to remote area and released it into its natural habitat.
