A beer-swilling police officer allegedly fatally shot a married father “loved by everyone” at point-blank range at a packed concert.
CCTV footage shows how the gunman walked confidently through the crowd in a tank top, shorts, and flip-flops.
He was holding a cup of beer in his left hand and a pistol, which no one had apparently noticed at the time, in his right.

The gunman is allegedly Vinícius Rodrigues Pacheco.
As he approached his target, he raised the weapon and fired at least three shots at close range.
Jorge Mauro Ruas de Paiva dropped to the ground, while those around him began to disperse in panic.
Luckily, the two women who were standing in front of him at the time were unhurt.
Tragically, Jorge, 51, died instantly.
The horror unfolded in the early hours of Saturday (10 May) at a samba concert in Nova Iguaçu, north-west of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Some of the musicians could be seen getting up from their chairs seconds after the shots were fired.
The motive is unclear, but Jorge’s loved ones say he did not know his killer, as reported by NeedToKnow.
They claim the policeman had been firing aimlessly in the area a short while before picking Jorge at random to kill.
A relative of Jorge, who chose to remain anonymous, told local media: “He never picked fights, never got into trouble with anyone. He was loved by everyone.”

But the police say the crime may have been triggered by a fight between the two men at a bar about two months earlier.
Confusing things further, at least one local media outlet claims Jorge may have made a pass at Vinícius’s wife.
Vinícius, 37, is reportedly a corporal in the Military Police – Brazil’s preventive force.

A warrant for his arrest was issued yesterday (13 May).
He has not been found and is considered a fugitive.
Jorge was a painter by trade.
He was laid to rest on Saturday (10 May) – his son’s 25th birthday.
His niece Monique Monteiro said: “My uncle was at the bar celebrating an opening after a long day at work when he was brutally murdered, completely defenceless.

“There was no fight, nothing at all. Just this killer walking through the crowd with a gun and shooting him. He had no chance to defend himself.
“My uncle wasn’t a criminal. He was a hard-working, honest man. A family man. He raised three wonderful children with integrity.
“He was a loving and present father, a devoted husband. Someone who will never be forgotten. But this should never have happened.”
She added: “My family will never forget this. Justice must be done.”
