To celebrate 25 years we visited Prezzo and gave their menu a go – and it seems they just keep getting better.
If you weren’t to know, Prezzo is an Italian restaurant mostly based in the UK and Northern Ireland – with over 90 incredible branches.
They’re known for their change of menu’s every season, including the Autumn, Winter and Spring.
And now, their Summer menu is out in full force – and it doesn’t let down.

To start, me and my friend ordered an Aperol Spritz each (which was done to perfection as an Aperol lover myself) Calamari and Pancetta Mac & Cheese balls.

Described as a Prezzo favourite, we had to give them a go, the “Italian pancetta croquettes with mac and cheese, finished with grated Italian cheese and served with a Calabrese ketchup dip.”
And they were incredible, smoking hot, melt in the mouth and with incredible taste thanks to the beautiful pancetta, I could just carry on eating these and be happy.

The Calamari – a crispy dish served with their pestonnaise.
Usually I get almost worried about ordering a Calamari as some may say it can be bland, chewy or even just boring.
However, this was anything but, it had beautiful flavour, perfectly crispy, not chewy what-so-ever and with the tastiest dip – 10/10.
Next was the mains, where we ordered a baked pasta, the “Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara Al Forno” and their “Chicken Milanese with Spaghetti Pomodoro.”
Firstly, the baked carbonara was something I had never thought of doing or even trying before, covered in cheese, crispy bacon and herbs – it was succulent, tasty and had the perfect amount of seasoning.

The Chicken Milanese was perfectly crisp with a very flavourful Spaghetti Pomodoro – something which can be seen as a plain dish was packed with seasoning.

The fresh tomato completely complimented the lightly breaded chicken breast, and it was even finished off with a slice of lemon and cheese to give that extra zing.
To finish off the dinner date, we shared a bottle of their Pinot Grigio Blush Rosé, which went down smoothly and sat taking in some sun.

For anyone thinking of where to take their next dinner date – think Prezzo, the menu has plenty of options, the options are also tasty as hell and it is completely affordable, visit now!
