But he carried on his way with a huge rucksack on his back.
He managed to maintain his grip on the thin wire as he was soaked by the foam from the churned-up waterway on Sunday (1 Jun), as reported by Need To Know.
Indian cabinet minister Kiren Rijiju said: “Arunachal Pradesh receives heaviest Monsoon rains in the world.
“Got this video of a man crossing a traditional hanging bridge in Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh near the tri-junction of India, China and Myanmar border.
“Please remain careful and safe. Govt will provide necessary support.”
The rains that lashed Arunachal Pradesh last week caused the Dibang River to flood, stranding 14 people on a small river island for two days.
They were saved in an aerial rescue operation by the Indian Air Force on Sunday.
North-eastern India is among the wettest regions on earth, with most of the rainfall occurring in April to late October.
One viewer said: “This poor guy, I mean unless you are crossing to save a life, I can’t imagine what’s worthy of obviously risking your life to get to that other side.”

Another joked: “You are born with balls or brains when you are a man. This guy has balls.”
And a third quipped: “Just Eat going that extra mile.”
