A heartbroken monkey tried to shake a man awake at his funeral.
The langur was spotted sitting on Munnah Singh’s open casket, looking visibly upset by his death.
It sat by the departed’s side, holding him and trying to shake his arm.

The emotional animal then rested its paw on Munnah’s head as other mourners looked on in awe.
It stayed by his side for hours, mourning the death of its friend, as reported by Need To Know.
Munnah was known for his kindness towards all animals, especially monkeys.
Villagers bowed in respect to both the Langur and Munnah.
The emotional moment took place in Deoghar, Jharkhand, India.
Members of the public were touched by the heartwarming moment.
One said, “This speaks volumes about the soul of the departed.
“Kindness never goes unnoticed.”
