Since being found, he has melted people’s hearts, with some rushing to apply to care for him.
Estimated to be between four and five years old, Picasso has an extremely distinctive face due to noticeable deformities.

The stray Pit Bulls’ appearance raised immediate questions about what they had been through.
Armando Tejeda, a public information officer at Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), revealed that it is not known how Picasso’s facial deformities occurred.
“At this time, it’s unclear whether they are congenital or the result of past trauma,” Armando told Newsweek.
Picasso was treated for a skin infection as well as an upper respiratory infection after he was found.
He was then transferred to It’s a Pittie Rescue, a rescue organisation based in Chicago, Illinois, US.
The shelter shared an image of the pooch with their 393,000 followers which instantly gripped the attention of many viewers, as reported by Need To Know.

According to Katie Voss, the president of It’s a Pittie Rescue, they received a fair number of applications to foster Picasso shortly after.
After the post, which attracted 25,000 likes, was shared on 11 June, the organisation shared that the dog had found a temporary foster home on 14 June.
The Hanover Park Animal Care Centre, located in Illinois, have taken Picasso under their wing until he finds a permanent home.
In a post online, It’s a Pittie Rescue revealed that he would receive the care that he needed here.
They also added that they were to “finish processing applications” while Picasso stayed there.

“Picasso got a ride to his temporary foster home while we finish processing applications to secure a permanent foster home,” the organisation said in their post.
“He slept a lot and got to enjoy toys and blankets, and then it was off to the vet.
“Huge shout out to Hanover Park Animal Care Centre for fitting Picasso in right away so he could start the care he needed.
“They always are so amazing with our dogs.
“They do believe it’s a strong possibility that [his facial deformities were caused by] an injury, but cannot say for certain until he sees a neurologist and gets a CT scan.
“As for now, he has an upper respiratory infection and a nasty ear infection that looks to be chronic.
“He will get to the neurologist as soon as possible.”
People online gushed over the initial post about Picasso.
Carolyn said, “Such a little cutie. I wish I could have him, but I’m too old. Hugs and kisses coming your way.”
Barbara said: “Awww, he’s beautiful in his own way. Prayers [that he is] fostered then adopted, get well baby, there’s someone out there that will give you a good home.”

“Oh, I love him so much. I wish I could take him. Praying he finds the best, most loving home,” added Faith.
Desiray said, “The cutest pup I’ve ever seen.”
“He’s absolutely a little heartbreaker. I know he will find his safe, forever family,” Kamila added.
