A motorway was shut down after a tractor-trailer crashed – spilling a huge amount of mozzarella.
One of the trucks was carrying the shredded cheese while the other, ironically, contained packs of sanitation wipes.
Photos released by the fire department reveal a surreal, chaotic scene – with mozzarella cheese blanketing the roadway, shredded boxes scattered like debris, and emergency crews scrambling to contain the gooey mess.

Unfortunately for cheese lovers, none of the mozzarella was salvageable, as reported by Need To Know.

The crash involved three tractor-trailers and created a dairy disaster spanning over 200 yards.
A spokesperson for the department said: “The trailer hauling the cheese was split wide open with debris all over the roadway.
“All cheese will be headed to the landfill as the load was deemed unsalvageable due to being unrefrigerated for hours.”

The incident occurred around 5am on 2 July, prompting a full closure of the eastbound lanes near Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania, US.
Despite the chaos, no injuries were reported, and no hazardous materials were involved.
The Snow Shoe Fire Company also shared images of the incident on Facebook.
