A married dad-of-three drowned after saving his 12-year-old sister-in-law after she got into difficulty swimming.
Daniel Braga Figueiredo entered the lake on a borrowed stand-up paddleboard after spotting the girl being carried off on an inflatable tube.
Witnesses said the pair tried to balance on the board together but ended up falling back into the water.
Despite this, Daniel, 31, managed to get the girl back onto the float.
Moments later, he disappeared beneath the surface.
The girl was brought safely back to shore, unharmed, as reported by Need To Know.

Rescue teams recovered his body at around 9:30pm on Saturday (12 Jul), roughly two hours after the search began.
Originally from Curitiba, Brazil, Daniel was married to Bruna Figueiredo and was the father of three children – the youngest born just last month.
He worked in marketing and was well-liked in Provo, near Salt Lake City, Utah, US, where the family lived.

The tragedy unfolded at Silver Lake Flat Reservoir – a popular spot for kayaking, fishing, hiking, and camping – about an hour’s drive from Provo.
Sgt Cannon of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said: “We would like to again offer our condolences to the family.
“To all of the agencies that responded or offered to send resources, thank you. Dozens of first responders and SAR volunteers assisted with this incident.”
