Irish skincare brand Ella & Jo hits B Corp status – so, I put their products to the test

The Irish Irish skincare brand Ella & Jo have achieved their B Corp certification – so I tried out their latest products.

Founded in 2017 by makeup artist Charlene Flanagan and skin therapist Niamh Ryan, Ella & Jo was created with the aim of simplifying skincare routines while delivering real, visible results.

With a focus on sustainability, cruelty-free ingredients, and women’s wellbeing, the brand has become a trusted name for those seeking high-performance skincare that aligns with their values.

And they are proud to announce its official certification as a Certified B Corporation. This prestigious recognition marks a significant milestone in the brand’s ongoing mission to balance purpose while driving positive change in the beauty industry.

“Our mission has always been about more than skincare, it’s about empowering people to feel confident in their skin and confident in the choices they make,” said co-founder Charlene Flanagan.

“Achieving B Corp status reinforces that commitment and pushes us to do even more.”

Co-founder Niamh Ryan added: “Becoming a B Corp is much more than a badge for us – it’s a promise.

“It reflects our dedication to doing business differently – consciously, ethically, and sustainably.”

They’ve also recently launched some, in my opinion, truly beautiful products—both in terms of packaging and how they feel on the skin!

The items I have tried include a SPF 30 invisible mist, hydrate and plump skin mist, miracle mask, cleansing balm, superfood oil and the relax and renew night cream.

Firstly, the sprays – both designed and created with love AND your skin in mind.

The invisible skin mist is SPF 30 which and provides broad spectrum UVA & UVB protection.

The convenient, fine mist gives you a quick and easy way to protect your skin – and for me, feels super refreshing and hydrating.

The hydrate and plump skin mist is also now a go to – described on their site as a revitalising facial spray designed to quench thirsty skin in an instant.

It has also been packed with powerful ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Aloe Vera, locking in moisture, resetting your complexion so it’s glowing, soft, and supple all day long.

Next is the melt the day away cleansing balm and relax and renew night cream – the perfect evening duo.

The balm gives utter luxury – that hydrates and nourishes while gently melting away face and eye makeup, dirt and oil from the skin.

I found it super soothing on the skin and quick to take off make-up – needing only a small amount.

While the night cream is multi-tasking that nourishes, repairs and renews skin as you sleep.

It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, plump and rejuvenated – which is just what I look for in a night cream.

And lastly, to end on a high is the miracle mask and superfood oil.

The miracle mask left my skin feeling plump and firm – and is infused with Squalane, Glycerine and Hyaluronic Acid, delivering a surge of nourishment to restore your complexion, leaving your skin instantly radiant and deeply hydrated.

While the superfood facial oil is infused with Retinol and a potent blend of active vitamins to plump, regenerate and restore elasticity.

Created with a luxurious blend of Superfood Oils rich in antioxidants, it nourishes and rejuvenates skin, leaving it radiant and youthful – which is just what I was going for.

All together, this brand has shot to the top of my list — with luxurious products, beautiful packaging, and a clear sense of care behind every detail.
