A driver was left baffled after discovering a wild animal was trapped in the front bumper of their car.
The unexpected encounter unfolded when emergency responders were called out to a report of an animal strike.
When they arrived, they found a coyote loitering in the tight spot, unable to wriggle its way free.

The unfortunate critter had darted out in front of a vehicle, been hit -and somehow ended up wedged in the car’s front end.
Amazingly, the animal was still alive and alert.

The bushy-tailed survivor was quickly dubbed Wile E, in a nod to the iconic cartoon character.
Officers from Charlotte County Sheriffs Office attended the scene, along with rescuers from the Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida Rescue and Transport, who took the coyote in for treatment.
Following a thorough evaluation, it was confirmed the critter had suffered two broken legs on his left side but, remarkably, is expected to make a full recovery.
