Football icon and TV presenter Dion Dublin avoided a crash after a tyre shockingly burst on his £120,000 Lotus.

The former Aston Villa striker suffered an unfortunate road incident after one of the wheels gave up on him.

Whilst cruising in his Lotus Eletre R, the Homes Under the Hammer presenter was forced to pull over.

Luckily, Mark from Yorkshire Rescue was with the 56-year-old within half an hour.

The star’s motor was loaded onto the truck and taken to the car park of the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford.

Dion then called out a mobile engineer to fit a new tyre to his Lotus.

The former footballer surprised both the workers with a cheeky selfie to thank them for their service.

Ozzy from Mobile Tyre Buddy sorted the star’s car whilst he snapped some action shot images of the ordeal.

The burst tyre took place on Wednesday (30 Jul) as reported by Need To Know.

Dion Dublin stated: “Well, that wasn’t much fun.

“Huge thanks to Yorkshire Rescue, who were with me within 30 minutes, and a special thank you to Mark, top fella.

“Back in the game.

“Huge thanks to Mobile Tyre Buddy for the lightning-fast response. Ozzy was absolutely brilliant.”
