A scooter rider accidentally reversed into a huge drain, with members of the public having to fish him out.
The bizarre blunder was caught on CCTV after a shopper attempted to set off from a market.
With his scooter packed with goods, the blissfully unaware rider began reversing out of his space to drive onto the road.

However, he did not notice the huge gap in the ground where a drain had been left open.
As the back wheel dropped into the hole, the panicked rider attempted to push the bike forward.
Unfortunately, as he stepped up, the weight distribution shifted, causing the scooter to drop backwards.
The bizarre accident took place outside a market in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The CCTV footage was taken on (28 Aug), as reported by Need To Know.
The man, pushed by the weight of his bike, crashed into the water, with the vehicle fully submerged.
The rider, who was wearing a helmet, did not surface for a few seconds before his head popped out of the water.
He attempted to pull himself out of the hole, but the drain was too deep.
Whilst yelling and splashing for help, two youngsters rushed over to see what had happened.
The young lads called over some concerned passersby who rushed to the man’s aid.
A wooden ladder was lowered into the drain to help the sheepish man out of the water.
