A heartbroken man is desperate to get his dog back after two women stole her from him at knifepoint.
James Lindley was walking in the rain with his two-year-old Pocket Bully called Darla.
He said the pair offered him a lift and he accepted because his dog doesn’t like wet weather.

The 39-year-old said they pulled up in a country lane and one pulled out the blade.
He said she threatened to knife him unless he got out of the vehicle.
Poor James – who is recovering from cancer – said they held onto Darla.

He reported the theft to cops and said both women spoke with Irish accents.
James and Darla got in the car in Wellington Street, Barnsley, South Yorks.
“It was chucking it down and Darla doesn’t like the rain,” he told Need To Know.
“So we got in.
“They seemed quite pleasant and kept asking about her.
“Darla even jumped on the lap of one of them.”
James added: “But they pulled, stopped, took out a knife and told me to get out or they’d stab me.
“I thought Darla would follow me, but the woman kept a tight grip on her and they drove off.”
He has launched a social media appeal with Muddy Paws Crime, but there has been no sighting of Darla.

“I just want her back,” said tearful James, who has owned Darla since she was an eight-week-old puppy.
“Whoever has got her doesn’t realise the huge impact this is having on me.”
The theft took place on 7 August at 10:30pm.

Lisa Loops, who runs Muddy Paws Crime, said: “Darla is a darling and he loves her to bits.
“He is lost without her as she will be lost without him.”
South Yorkshire Police has been approached for comment.
