“They tried the CPAP mask, which is the last step before intubation – it was sad to see her like this,” she told Need To Know.
“She called me to say goodbye, she told me she loved me, that she loved her family, asked for forgiveness, and said she couldn’t take it anymore.
“She was suffering a lot; she was in a lot of pain.”

Patricia, from Cuiabá, west of Brasilia, Brazil, had been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer that develops from primitive skeletal muscle cells.
Her mother added: “This cancer is terrible, very difficult.”
The doctor and influencer, who became engaged to her partner on 19 July this year, shared videos of her treatment on social media, gaining a large following for her honest and hopeful posts.
In one of her last messages, she told fans: “My story isn’t about my cancer, I have so much more to tell you than that.
“When people ask who we are, we have to remember that we are many things.

“I’m not just Patricia from chemotherapy, from treatment.
“I’m not just that.
“My story isn’t just about illness, it’s about life.”
Patricia first noticed symptoms between late February and early March last year, when her right arm stopped moving normally.
She said: “I had three biopsies and was diagnosed with malignancy.
“We sought another opinion, and it was confirmed that it was a malignant, aggressive tumour.”
She began chemotherapy in August last year before undergoing surgery in late December.
Patricia was laid to rest in the municipality of Sorriso yesterday (17 Sept).
