A former Tottenham star’s son has been remanded into custody after allegedly fleeing a multi-car smash while on drugs.
Toto Dumitrescu’s father Ilie Dumitrescu played for the Premier League club in the 1994/95 season.
The carnage unfolded when a young woman collided with another vehicle at a junction.

The impact caused her car to ricochet into a third vehicle travelling behind her, leaving all three cars damaged.
When police arrived at the scene in Bucharest, Romania, one of the drivers had already fled, abandoning his SUV on Sunday (14 Sept).
He was later identified as actor Toto Dumitrescu and was found allegedly hiding at a friend’s flat in the Greater Bucharest area on Tuesday (16 Sept).

The 28-year-old allegedly tested positive for cocaine and was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident, as reported on Need To Know.
Toto Dumitrescu claimed he “hadn’t taken anything” and had fled because he was “scared,” according to reports Illie Dumitrescu scored four times in 18 appearances at White Hart Lane and also played for West Ham United.
Ilie was capped 62 times for Romania and rose to fame during the World Cup in 1994.

It later emerged that the injured woman was Ilinca Dalina Amariei, a Romanian tennis player ranked 384th in the world.
The impact left the 23-year-old trapped in her Audi, and she was briefly hospitalised with minor leg injuries.
Investigators believe she should have given way, but they allege that Toto Dumitrescu was speeding while under the influence.
Toto Dumitrescu graduated in Theatre and Performance from Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2019, and has appeared in the films One Step Behind the Seraphim and High Strung, as well as the TV series Hackerville and Adela.
