A bloke was caught doing 107mph – and told cops he only put his foot down because he was late for a haircut.
Michael Stanek was nicked for dangerous speeding after tearing past police in his flashy Corvette.
Shocking dashcam footage showed the 57-year-old weaving through traffic before being pulled over by a traffic unit deputy, as reported by Need To Know.

When asked why he was hammering it down the road, Stanek gave the jaw-dropping excuse: “I have an appointment with my barber.”
The stunned officer could only repeat his words back in disbelief.
Stanek was cuffed and carted off, with police pointing out that in Florida anyone caught topping 100mph – or more than 50mph over the limit – is classed as a “super speeder”.
He was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility in Bunnell, Florida, before being released on a £111.60 ($150) bond.
The bizarre arrest sparked a wave of jokes online.
One user quipped: “We need to know the barber, tho, haircuts must be DARN good.”

Another added: “His ‘one phone call’ should be to the barber; there has been a cancellation.”
And a third chipped in: “Not dismissing his recklessness but at least dude was honest lol.”
