An animal rescue group has shared heart-melting pictures revealing the harsh reality faced by abandoned pets – and the incredible transformations that follow.
Little Steps Matter has been hailed online for its life-changing work helping abused and neglected dogs find love again.
Each of the pups rescued by the charity has endured heartbreaking trauma – from cruel abandonment to severe neglect – but under the team’s care, they’ve been nursed back to health and happiness.

One of them, Hope, a four-year-old Pomeranian, was discovered trembling and unable to walk after being left to die alone in the jungle.

Rescuers found her by chance after other dogs were drawn to her cries for help.
Now, after months of rehabilitation, Hope has made a full recovery – and finally found her forever home, as reported by Need To Know.
Another pooch, Alfie, was dumped by his owners when he fell ill.
He was discovered lying in a pile of dirt inside an abandoned garage, weak, confused and waiting for his family to return.

Vets were forced to remove one of his eyes to ease his pain, but Alfie has since bounced back and is now thriving with new owners who adore him.
Little Steps Matter, based in Bali, Indonesia, said: “All of them were once unwanted, have been dumped, hurt or mistreated in the past.
“Some have been traumatised through cruel circumstances or a tough start to life.
“Yet here they are, experiencing love, joy and happiness under our care.
“Each and every one of those precious souls got their second chance at life because of all of you.
“None of this would have happened without your love, support, trust and belief in what we do.
“For that, we are forever grateful.”
The charity’s touching post sparked an outpouring of support online.
One fan wrote: “Angel Work.”

Another said, “Amazing. Major changes, even the light in their eyes tells the story!
“Thank you for being you and doing what you do. I’m grateful for you all.”
One animal lover commented: “I just love the work you all do!
“Thank you for saving them.”
Another added: “You are miracle workers.”

While one more wrote: “Bless all of you!!
“The transformation is mind-blowing!
“Thanks to the kind souls of everyone who helped these beautiful souls.”
