An influencer has been arrested for allegedly ordering the torture of two men who reportedly broke into her home.
Izabela Paiva was detained at a property yesterday (15 Oct) as part of a police operation targeting organised crime.
Investigators said the 26-year-old was out of town when she learned about the burglary at her house in Porto Velho, deep in Brazil’s Amazon region.

But instead of calling the police, she allegedly ordered members of the feared Comando Vermelho gang to track down the burglars, punish them, and retrieve her stolen items.
The Rondônia State Civil Police said: “Even though she was fully aware of how serious the situation was, the suspect chose not to contact the authorities.

“Instead, she deliberately acted outside the law, driven by personal revenge and in clear defiance of the legal system.”
Police believe Paiva not only has “close ties” with Comando Vermelho but may even be a fully-fledged member, as reported by Need To Know.
The mother-of-two often flaunts a life of luxury on social media, posing with jet skis, wads of cash and high-end cars to her 100,000-plus followers.

The Comando Vermelho, or Red Command, is one of Brazil’s oldest and most powerful criminal gangs, founded in Rio de Janeiro prisons in the 1970s.
It is involved in drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and other organised crime across several states, and is notorious for violent turf wars with rivals such as the Primeiro Comando da Capital.
The operation to arrest Paiva was dubbed “Arur Betach” – a shortened Hebrew phrase meaning “cursed is the one who trusts”, which she reportedly posted on social media shortly after the burglary.
