The £39.50 pure cotton sateen bedsheet, which caught the attention of one shocked shopper, has a white background with brown splats on it.
The spray design is also featured on the “splatter mugs”, which cost £6 each.
The bizarre discovery was made in M&S, Longbridge, Birmingham, on Saturday (25 Oct), as reported by Need To Know.
The new “splatter” range of mugs comes in a range of colours – with the aim to bring a ‘quirky feel to your morning brew’.
The shopper said, “It genuinely looks like poo splattered on a bed sheet.
“It’s not something I’d want to wake up in.
“When I was walking past it, I had to do a double-take. Surely the designer noticed it too.
“I was even more taken aback when I spotted the mugs with the same pattern.
“I don’t think I’d be able to drink a coffee out of a cup like that – it would turn my stomach.”
Customers at H&M also had a similar experience when shopping in the home section for new plates.
The High Street fashion chain’s crockery was ridiculed by shoppers who said it looked like it was covered in poo.
The Speckled-Glaze homeware range included £7.99 bowls, £9.99 mugs, plates and jugs and a £14.99 butter dish.

Members of the public were left split on the design.
Victoria quipped, “My husband decorates our toilet in the exact same pattern.
“Might as well get something to match in the kitchen.”
Robin joked: “Are you at Shartery Barn?”

One shopper labelled it: “The spray collection.”
Another said, “Those are the plates that you use when you don’t want guests to return.”
One said: “Taco Bell restroom chic.”
Yet another shopper said, “My mother is buying it.”

Another added, “Not me, I think they are cute.”
M&S have been approached for a comment.
