At the clinic where the surgery took place, the cause of death was reported as a pulmonary embolism.
However, at the second hospital where she was rushed in an emergency, doctors said she had died from hypovolemic shock.
They claim it was caused by bleeding from an abdominal perforation, as reported by Need To Know.
Angélica, a chartered accountant, underwent the operation near Maracay, Venezuela.

She died on 15 September, leaving behind a 14-year-old athlete daughter.
Her death has only just come to light.
Prosecutors have now opened a new investigation following Angélica’s death.
Alba described her daughter as an “honest, hardworking woman” with “dreams and aspirations” and “an excellent mother.”
