A “kamikaze” driver was caught on a taxi dashcam hurtling the wrong way down a motorway.
The footage showed two cars swerving at the last second to avoid a head-on collision with the reckless motorist.
Traffic was light on the three-lane road at the time of the near-miss, which occurred at night.

One driver who witnessed the close call told local media: “The taxi recording and the car in front narrowly avoided disaster.”
Another added: “The curve bends to the right. Had it been to the left, they wouldn’t have seen it in time – it was sheer luck.”
The scenes of panic unfolded in the early hours of 27 October on Spain’s Palma de Mallorca Airport motorway, roughly 500 metres from an exit.
Despite the driver’s dangerous actions, no accidents were reported, as reported by Need To Know.
Police are now trying to decipher the white car’s number plate to identify the driver, who could face charges for endangering road safety.
A source from the taxi industry said, “This isn’t the first time something like this has happened.”
Some drivers told local media they suspected the daredevil actions may have been part of a bet or challenge.
A colleague of the taxi driver involved in the near-collision said, “He was very lucky. He’s been given a second chance at life.”

Social media users also weighed in, with one writing: “They should revoke the white car driver’s licence permanently, no question.”
Mario commented: “And he’s flashing his high beams like he’s in the right, seriously.”
Máximo added: “Had it been a motorbike, it would have wiped him out.”
