His wife Samara, who is four months pregnant, was trapped by her left leg in the mangled wreckage.
Firefighters freed her before she was rushed to hospital.

Her current condition has not been disclosed.
The young couple had been travelling from their hometown of Patos de Minas to Belo Horizonte when tragedy struck on the BR-381 highway in João Monlevade, east of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Investigators believe the crash happened in rainy conditions, though the exact cause remains under investigation.
Gustavo had built a huge following of 258,000 fans on Instagram, where he shared videos of life on the road, family moments, and his upbeat personality.
He had just turned 24 in October, as reported by Need To Know.
Just hours before the accident, he posted a photo of his distinctive orange lorry, writing: “May God light our way! Good morning with Jesus!”

The truck’s windscreen bore the name “Keila”, a tribute to his late mum Keila Cristina Miranda, who was murdered in 2022 by her ex-husband – Gustavo’s father.
Since her death, Gustavo had taken care of his younger siblings, aged 16 and seven, while continuing his work on the road.
Only a week before his death, he posted a touching picture of his mum’s name written in the sand alongside the words “I love you”.
He described himself in his Instagram bio as “Keila’s boy”.
Heartbroken followers have flooded his social media page with tributes, remembering the young trucker as a kind, hard-working man devoted to his family and faith.
