A model has revealed how she spent £50,000 on a facelift before turning 30 and says it was “worth every penny”.
Jade Mandongwe got the costly procedure in a bid to look more “refreshed”.
The 28-year-old, who is very “conscious” about the way she looks, says it wasn’t done from a place of insecurity – but to see the physical version of how she feels inside.

She jetted off to Turkey and forked out an eye-watering £50,000 on the surgery, which involved a mid-facelift, temporal brow lift and fox-eye effect.
“It was worth every penny,” the model and lawyer, who boasts over 2,000 followers on Instagram, told Need To Know.
“I’ve always loved beauty and I’m very conscious about how I look.
“This isn’t about insecurity, it’s about looking in the mirror and seeing the version of myself that I imagine inside.”
Jade, from Manchester, UK, underwent the procedure in October 2025, alongside a breast lift with implants and dental enhancements.
She joins a group of people under 50 going under the knife to get the “snatched” look, with the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) reporting an 8% increase in facelifts over the past year within the UK.
The model decided to share her journey at each stage of the process in a bid to be transparent and to highlight the pressures around beauty standards.
She said: “There’s a lot of pressure to be perfect.
“I wanted to remind people that beauty also comes with courage and vulnerability.
“I’m happy with the result.
“I feel like myself – just the best version of who I’ve always been.
“But this kind of transformation demands respect for the process.
“It’s a delicate procedure and should never be taken lightly.
“I studied, researched and made sure I was emotionally and physically ready for it.
“I wanted to be completely transparent.
“People often see the final result, but forget that it involves a long recovery, discomfort and patience.
“I wanted to show that it’s not easy, but it’s worth it when done for the right reasons.
“It was a life-changing experience – not just physically, but emotionally, too.”
