Rescuers had a shocking shout after being called to a deer entangled in electric fencing.
The distressed fallow deer buck was about to be shot to save it from more suffering.
But specialists managed to get to him just in time.
They saved his life after releasing the wire around his antlers.

It happened near Ringwood, Hants.
A team from the Wildlife Rescue charity went to the animal’s aid, as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson said: “An early morning call from a young lady attending her horses at a local stable informed us that a large fallow buck had become entangled in electric fencing.
“Despite efforts to approach the distressed deer, nobody at the stables could get near to him, and when we were called, a dispatcher had already been informed and was on his way to shoot him.
“The team set off immediately, as time at this point was crucial.
“Fortunately, our experienced deer rescue team arrived at the scene first, and our team leader assessed the situation.
“The deer was tied by its antlers in the discarded fencing and, leaping around in dense high high-stinging nettles – not ideal.
“Using a small tree as an anchor point, the team leader gradually pulled the fencing cable in a loop around a branch, restricting the deer’s range of travel.
“As soon as the deer fell to the ground and they had sufficient control, the team quickly moved in and secured him.
“He had obviously been entangled for some period of time, as the fencing was firmly crossed over between his antlers many times.
“Keeping his hind legs off the ground and avoiding placing any weight on his body, our team worked quickly to free the cable firstly from around his neck, then between his antlers.
“Once completely free, the buck was aimed in the right direction and released away from any roads.”
