A cute cat died after being shot as a manhunt for the gunman is launched.
The shy, black and white puss – called Mac – rarely left the residential street where he lived.
He was seen limping after being blasted with an air gun.
The rescue cat’s owner took him to the vets who then found the bullet.

Sadly, Mac, three, had to be put down due to the injuries he suffered.
The RSPCA has now put out an appeal to find the brute who shot him, in Osborne Road, St Helen’s, Merseyside, as reported on Need To Know.
Mac’s owners – who wished to remain anonymous – said in a statement: “Mac was the most loving little cat.

“He was young and growing in confidence after being rescued with his brother, Claude.
“He loved trying to catch bugs and watching birds in the garden.
Lucy Welch, Animal Rescue Officer at the charity, who is investigating the incident, said: “Our hearts go out to Mac’s owner and we are very sorry to hear this has happened.
“It is always very distressing to think that people may be taking pleasure in causing such horrific injuries to defenceless animals.
“Although at the moment we don’t know if this attack was accidental or deliberate so we hope an appeal for information will help with our enquiries.
She added: “It is thought he could have been shot on Saturday 1 November as he was limping on this day and it was before he became unwell.
“On Saturday he was outside between 12pm till 1.30pm so this is a possible time of when it could have happened.
“If anyone in the local area can cast their mind back to that day and please get in touch if you have any first hand information.”
