An actor from One Tree Hill has revealed that he ‘had never stepped foot’ on an ice rink before filming for a role as a pro hockey player in a newly released Christmas film.
Tyler Hilton’s rise to fame started in the iconic teen series.
He played musician Chris Keller, who often interfered in Nathan’s life, one of the main characters, life.

Now, though, he’s put down the guitar and swapped it out for a hockey stick.
Hilton, who has starred in his fair share of festive flicks, is starring as Wes Campbell.
His role sees him suffer a career-threatening accident just before Christmas, and he goes to Keller Ranch – not linked to his One Tree Hill alter ego – for rehabilitation, where he finds love.

And even though he moves around the rink with ease, it hasn’t always been that way.
In fact, just before filming, he claims he ‘had never stepped foot’ on the ice before, reports Need To Know.
In a clip, which has racked up over 48,000 views and thousands of likes, he shows his journey to getting ready for the role.
He wrote: “I booked a role as a hockey player, only problem is I’ve never stepped foot on a rink before.”
Tyler, aged 42, from California, US, notes he has “zero” hockey experience as he slips and slides around the ice.
Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions.
“Nailed it,” Sydney said.
Another person added: “CHRIStmas at KELLER ranch. They knew what they were doing.”

“Convinced me,” Camila commented.
Someone else said, “Kris Keller at Keller Ranch. Perfect.”
“An ice hockey and OTH crossover, what more could you want!!!” added Macey.

The movie, in which he stars alongside Arielle Kebbel, was released on 13 December on DIRECTV.
