A popular nutritionist has died in a horror motorbike crash.
Mayara Dias was riding pillion on a motorcycle taxi when the driver of a car behind them allegedly crashed into the back of them.
The pair fell onto the road, and Mayara’s helmet came off.
The 33-year-old was then run over by the car travelling behind them, according to reports.
She was killed on the scene in the coastal city of Maceió, Brazil, yesterday (16 Dec) morning.
The car driver reportedly fled the scene without providing assistance and remains at large.
The app rider was injured in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Officials from the Department of Transportation and Traffic (DMTT) arrived to cordon off the area and carry out forensic work, as reported by Need To Know.

An investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is ongoing.
José Iran Menezes da Silva Júnior, the mayor of the victim’s hometown, União dos Palmares, offered his support to the victim’s family.
He said she was “someone with her whole life ahead of her”.
Mayara was the sister of fitness influencer Murilo Dias, who has 350,000 Instagram fans.
The young woman, whose full name is Mayara Maggry Santos Dias, worked as a nutritionist and had 4,300 followers on Instagram.
In one of her final posts, she said: “With each new phase, I become a new and better version of who I am.”
