A stunned influencer captured the moment US forces launched their attack on Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
Cris Martinez was holding a raffle when his TikTok broadcast was interrupted by the sound of fighter jets passing overhead.
While livestreaming with friends Angel and Engelbert, Cris stopped to listen to the apparent explosions ringing out at Maduro’s complex in the Venezuelan capital Caracas.
He initially thought China was carrying out the attack.
The 18-year-old said: “Holy sh*t, the Chinese went there.”
He captioned the video: “You’re live on air, and they start bombing your country.”
The clip went viral on TikTok with nearly 14m views and over 12,000 comments.
One local said: “They didn’t bomb the country! Only strategic points.”
“Trump liberating Venezuela in exchange for oil,” added Silvia.

Mari remarked: “If Donald Trump dares to touch Maduro, he can be sure that all of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, and Colombia will rise up and take to the streets to celebrate for a whole week!”
Cris, a university student with a growing following on TikTok and Instagram, told Need To Know: “It was absolutely crazy.
“I was really scared because everything was calm when the attack started.
“I was aware of the tension between the two countries beforehand.”
He added: “The video went viral with millions of likes. I’ve never reached such high numbers before.”

The US military operation took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The attack, carried out as part of Operation Southern Spear, culminated in the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.
President Trump said it was “an operation against a heavily fortified military fortress in the heart of Caracas to bring outlaw dictator Nicolás Maduro to justice”.
Maduro will appear in a New York City courtroom later today.
