Cronin, 39, was found in possession of burglary tools and a large amount of mail from multiple apartment complexes in the area.
He was arrested and charged with Grand Theft, Loitering and Prowling, Possession of Burglary Tools and Possession of Personal Identification Information.
A video of the incident was shared on social media, where police can be seen removing Cronin from a bicycle before asking a number of questions about the mail.
During the arrest, no mail truck was present, nor was Cronin dressed in a mailman’s uniform, raising the suspicion of authorities.
He claimed he was “picking up all the mail” at the complex.
The video shows Cronin later admitting to stealing mail from a local post office on numerous occasions.
He also confessed to breaking into mailboxes at a number of other apartment complexes over the past year.
The arrest took place at the Aria Beach Apartments on South Semoran Boulevard in Orlando, Florida.
