A reality star has been found dead at a tourist beach one week after vanishing.
DJ Maycon Douglas disappeared on New Year’s Eve.
He was last seen DJing at a bar before going home with a friend.

One week after vanishing, Maycon’s body washed ashore on Wednesday (7 Jan).
The authorities had already found his car submerged in the sea.
His body was recovered from the water by fisherman Antonio Silva, who said he recognised the DJ by his tattoos.
The cadaver appeared near the same spot where his car was found on North Beach in Nazaré located north of Lisbon, Portugal.
Maycon’s mother, after days of anguish without news of her son, fell ill and needed to be hospitalised the day before his body was found, as reported by Need To Know.
His girlfriend Raquel Coelho paid tribute to him on social media.
She said: “I would give anything to have you back, anything.
“You appeared in my life unexpectedly, and you don’t know how grateful I am that you did.”
Although Brazilian, Maycon had lived in Portugal since he was four years old.
The police are waiting for the results of an autopsy to establish his exact cause of death.
They haven’t yet ruled out the possibility of foul play.
Maycon found fame on season 8 of the Portuguese reality show ‘Secret Story – Casa dos Segredos’ broadcast by TVI.
He built up an online following on Instagram and TikTok where he had 50,000 and 22,000 followers respectively.
His last post was on 30 December, the day before his disappearance.
He wrote: “2025 was intense. We learned a lot, and lived even more.
“2026 is about vision, discipline, and consistency.”
