A tequila tycoon has been found dead days after being kidnapped by an armed gang.
Adrián Corona Radillo was travelling with his wife and two children when their vehicle was intercepted.
The gunmen stole the victims’ mobile phones and personal belongings before forcibly abducting Adrián, leaving his family stranded at the scene.

They were travelling to Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific coast when Adrián was kidnapped.
The family was intercepted in the area of Crucero Volcanes in Jalisco State.
His body was found on the roadside near where he was abducted two days later.
The authorities confirmed that his corpse showed signs of violence and at least one bullet wound.
A spokesperson for the state prosecutor’s office said: “Bullet wounds and blows were observed.”
According to reports, the suspects did not demand a ransom in the days leading up to the victim’s death.
The businessman, who originally came from the town of Tonaya in Jalisco, served as CEO of the Jalisco-based company Grupo Corona, specialists in the production of tequila and mezcal.

He was considered a prominent figure in the country’s spirits industry.
The company organised a memorial service at their plant in Tonaya for employees and loved ones.
A service was also held in his honour at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Tonaya, as reported by Need To Know.
A spokesperson for the Association of Professional and Business Women of Jalisco said: “Don Adrián will be remembered for his generosity and vision, especially for having provided employment to so many women, contributing significantly to the development of our community.”
No arrests have been made yet as the investigation into the businessman’s murder on 27 December continues.
