“I really loved you. Thank you so much for everything up until now.
“Please remember me once in a while. Lol.”
Five days later, her mother posted: “Aoi Fujino had been fighting an illness, but passed away on 5 January.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who took care of her during her lifetime.”
Aoi, who came from Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, was diagnosed with a rare malignant tumour called rhabdomyosarcoma three years ago, as reported by Need To Know.

The actress and model, who was considered a gravure idol in her home country, suspended her career to focus on treatment.
She returned to work in August 2024, but halted her projects six months later due to health problems.
Throughout 2025, she still had enough energy to attend multiple photoshoots and meet-and-greet events with fans.
Japanese media included her in their list of Top 100 Big-Breasted Actresses in 2022.
Before her death, she told her 70,000 Instagram followers: “As long as people remember that beautiful and energetic me, I will be very happy and feel extremely blessed.”
