A popular DJ has made a heartbreaking admission that she is battling cancer.
Beatriz Martínez, known in the music world as B Jones, shared the devastating diagnosis from her hospital bed yesterday (19 Jan).
The 42-year-old told her 346,000 Instagram followers: “Hi everyone, I’m probably recording the hardest video of my life, but also the most inspiring.

“As you know, I had a biopsy, and although it initially looked like a benign tumour, it turns out I have cancer. It’s lymphatic cancer, but I’m going to beat it 100%.
“Now, after the biopsy and surgery on my neck, I need to focus on recovering, and so far things are healing well. For now, I feel strong.”
The Spanish star had first posted from a Madrid hospital on 3 January, before receiving the cancer diagnosis.

She wrote: “For the past two months, I’ve been dealing with an illness without knowing exactly what it was. Now I can confirm that I have a tumour in my bone marrow.
“I won’t lie – it’s tough, really tough to take in. But I also want you to know that I feel strong, very strong, and I’m completely determined to get through this.
“It doesn’t seem to be malignant; the hardest part is where it’s located. Still, I’m taking this as a push in my life, a challenge that will make me stronger.”
Beatriz – the first Spanish artist to perform at Tomorrowland in Belgium – is well known on the electronic dance music scene, and has collaborated with stars including David Guetta.
Her remix of Loreen’s Tattoo at Tomorrowland 2023 has racked up 37m views on YouTube, as reported by Need To Know.
She went on to say: “Next, I’ll start chemotherapy, which looks like it’s going to be tough, but you know I can handle it.
“I want to face this illness with the best attitude possible – and for that, I need you. In the end, this is part of life.
“Now it’s my turn, but there are so many people going through this.
“My plan is to keep making music, and I want you to dance to it and enjoy it until I can get back behind the DJ booth.”
Since sharing the news, fellow DJs have sent Beatriz – who is originally from Andújar, in Andalusia – plenty of messages of support.

Trance DJ Armin van Buuren commented: “Sending you all the love and strength.”
Nervo, an Australian DJ duo, wrote: “Sending you so much strength and love Bea. Yes you will beat it.
“And your attitude is incredible, you have that single mumma strength that got you through darker days and we are sending you so so so much strength and love and prayers and good energy.
“We will celebrate together when we see you but sending you so much love.”
