It took three people, including the owner, to pull the dog off the bird, who then fled to the nearby pond.
The bizarre clash took place in Burgess Park, south-east London.
Ricardo, who works as a chef, managed to capture it on video on Sunday (18 Jan).
According to the chef from Southwark in the capital, the husky was off the lead in the park.
The female owner could not control the dog and her attempts to step in failed.
Luckily, two passers-by rushed to help separate the animals.
According to eye witnesses, the attack left the swan with only minor injuries but it was shaken up.
The footage shows the swan – a species which is protected in English law from deliberate harm – flapping back to the safety of the water.
“I was upset to see the lady has a dog and can’t control it,” Ricardo told Need To Know.

“It attacked the swan randomly as it was passing because the owner had it off the lead.
“The swan was not injured badly, thank God, but it had small injuries and was very scared.
“Some people ran trying to help, which was successful.
“The owner just said ‘Thanks’ and walked away.
“I feel like more should have been done to make sure the swan was OK.
“Everyone was annoyed when it happened.”
