An armed man was seen chasing a car through traffic, with the motor fleeing the wrong way down a busy road.

During the clash, a man in his 30s was stabbed in the hand.

The shocking footage showed a panicked driver trying to manoeuvre themselves away from the enraged attacker.

A second man on the street side was also spotted launching an object at the car as it reversed away.

The initial pursuer, wearing a hood, looked to be holding a weapon in his right hand as he ran after the motor.

The shocking incident took place on Merrick Road, Southall, London, as reported by Need To Know.

A man was arrested on Friday (13 Feb) in relation to the chaos but police are still investigating.

A local resident captured the footage from their balcony around 8pm on 7 Feb.

The silver vehicle, which at first attempted to drive down the road, floored it in reverse onto a busy roundabout to escape the duo.

The car was hit a number of times, with the driver also narrowly avoiding hitting a pedestrian whilst trying to swerve away from the men.

The attacker who first confronted the driver outside Samuelson House is reported to be a resident at the apartment building.

Later that evening, the neighbour who filmed the incident from the balcony spotted three police officers in the corridor.

Filming through the peep hole, a trio of cops can be seen battering down a door that is believed to be the hooded man’s home.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Bridge Road, Southall, at 20:20hrs on Saturday 7 February, to reports of an altercation.

“Officers attended within minutes and spoke to a man in his 30s, who had suffered a knife wound to his hand.

“He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service. His condition was not life-threatening or life-changing.

“On Friday, 13 February, we arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been bailed.

“We know that this incident will cause concern to people in Southall and want to reassure them that our officers are working to identify those responsible.

“We have increased patrols in the local area and would urge anyone with concerns to speak to our officers.

“Our investigation is ongoing and we would ask anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 6862/07FEB, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
