A woman had her size 38J breasts reduced because men wouldn’t stop leering at her.
Laureen Atlan says she felt uncomfortable in public and struggled to dress the way she wanted.
She decided to reduce her chest from a size 38J (or in the EU, 85J) to a size 38D (85D).
The 26-year-old woman has now revealed how undergoing the breast reduction transformed her life, following years of agonising back pain and unwanted attention from strangers.
“Before my breast reduction, my life was honestly horrible,” Laureen, from Paris, told Need To Know.

“I couldn’t dress the way I wanted, I felt uncomfortable in public, and I had terrible back pain every single day.
“Now that I’ve had the reduction, I feel completely reborn.
“Physically, I no longer have back pain, and mentally I feel so much more comfortable in my body and mind.
“It’s given me a thousand times more confidence.”
The social media manager had wanted the surgery since she was 18, but didn’t know the cost could be covered by the public health system.
Once she discovered she was eligible, Laureen found a surgeon and waited three months for her first consultation, followed by another month before the operation was finally scheduled.

In an attempt to avoid attention, Laureen would often wear oversized, loose-fitting clothes.
But she found that this only made her feel bigger and didn’t solve the issue.
She also had to fork out at least £70 per bra to fit her chest.
But the surgery in November, with a two-week recovery time, finally lifted her burden.
She added: “I didn’t feel at ease in my body because there was a lot of staring.
“I always wore loose clothes.
“My advice to anyone considering a reduction is not to wait.
“Many women do it around the age of 50 and tell me they regret not having done it sooner.
“Also, don’t be afraid – the process is quick, there are usually very few complications, and personally, I didn’t feel any pain at all.
“The scar is barely visible.
“It’s a small price to pay for a new life where you finally feel comfortable in your own body.”
