The scare unfolded as the Boeing 737-8HC was taxiing towards the runway at Turkey’s Antalya Airport.
Footage shows the jet with its left engine scraping the tarmac and the left main gear twisted at a sharp angle.
The left wing was badly damaged, with the landing gear apparently punching through it as it gave way.

The aircraft was carrying 175 passengers and six crew members ahead of its scheduled 2:20pm departure to Gaziantep on Friday (13 Feb).
All passengers safely disembarked, and the busted jet was later lifted using inflatable aircraft lifting bags, before being taken away for a technical inspection.

No injuries were reported, as reported by Need To Know.
The aircraft was delivered to SunExpress in 2016 and had arrived in Antalya from Diyarbakir earlier that day.
The Turkish-German airline believes a technical fault in the landing gear shock absorber may have caused the collapse.
The exact cause of the fault, along with the full extent of the damage, remains under investigation.
SunExpress arranged for passengers to continue their journey to Gaziantep on a replacement aircraft.
The airline said in a statement: “A technical malfunction occurred in the landing gear strut of our aircraft, flight number XQ7646, which was preparing to depart for Antalya-Gaziantep.
“Our passengers were safely disembarked from the aircraft, and the aircraft has been taken for technical inspection. The flight will be operated with a different aircraft.”
