The scene sounded and looked like a battlefield, with others setting off fireworks in every direction.
Some even brandished a baseball bat and a large machete, according to local police in Málaga, Spain.
Police released the footage of the chaos – filmed last December – on 19 February.
Around 40 people took part, and officers have identified a 24-year-old man as the organiser. Local media describe him as a local rapper.
Investigators say he had called for the gathering on social media the day before, as reported by Need To Know.
Multiple emergency calls were made while the mayhem unfolded in Plaza de la Crucifixión.
By the time police arrived, the fireworks and loud music had stopped, so officers could only order the group to disperse.
A later investigation led to the seizure of the firearm, a blank-firing gun that closely resembles a real weapon.
The rapper, whose name has not been released, now faces charges of public disorder.
Police said: “A formal report was submitted to the Málaga Subdelegation of the Government to begin the appropriate sanctioning process.”
