A crowd of onlookers filmed the musicians as they squared up to each other in the middle of the road.
In the clip, a mariachi musician in a silver jacket was seen fighting with a rival in black who was apparently accompanied by his watching bandmates.
The man in silver, who seems to be on his own, knocked his opponent to the ground and apparently got the better of him.
A larger bandmate separated the pair, but the man in silver apparently wanted to continue fighting.
The larger man then stepped between them and removed his jacket to take on the angry musician himself.
He apparently asked the man in silver if he wanted to fight him instead and he agreed.
The two men then traded punches in the street and the larger musician knocked his opponent to the ground.
The man in silver nearly fell beneath the front wheel of an oncoming car.
He got up to resume the brawl, but was felled once again.
The fight apparently fizzled out as the two men traded insults rather than fists.
The man in silver apparently started to walk away from the rival band as the clip came to an end.
The brawl took place near Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City, Mexico, on Wednesday (25 Feb).
The musicians reportedly perform for restaurant diners and tourists in the area, as reported by Need To Know.
It’s currently unclear why the musicians battled in the street and if the authorities are looking into the matter.
