Scans showed the bar had caused severe bleeding in his anal canal, bladder, and abdominal cavity.
It also caused damage to multiple pelvic organs and the retroperitoneal space, as reported by Need To Know.
During surgery, the medical team noticed the object was positioned dangerously close to the patient’s left lumbar rib region.

According to the diagnosis, the man suffered a 3cm-long anterior rectal wall contusion and damage to the left ureter from the bladder wall to the renal pelvis.
He also had a rupture near the renal pelvis and a tear in the wall of the left iliac artery that resulted in bleeding and a large retroperitoneal hematoma.
The operation was reportedly complex and lasted for many hours.
Following surgery, the patient was closely monitored in intensive care at the Cam Pha General Hospital in Cam Pha City in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.

Several days after the operation, the patient’s condition was stable, the drainage tubes were removed, and organ function was recovering well.
He was allowed to return home 10 days after surgery.
