An “influencer prisoner” has sparked controversy after showing off her lavish birthday bash behind bars.
Photos and videos show María Paola Galeano and her cellmates enjoying a pink-themed celebration.
A sound system, golden tablecloth, flowers, and a swarm of pink and gold balloons set the scene.

She shared the images with her 200,000-plus TikTok followers last month and was quickly flooded with birthday wishes.
Others, however, questioned whether she was being held in a “VIP” wing, given the extravagance.
One commenter, Luciano, wrote: “More rights for criminals than for honest people. Disgusting.”
Paola has been behind bars in Lomas de Zamora, Argentina, for 13 years and is set to walk free on 31 August.
She was arrested in 2014 for allegedly acting as an accomplice in a 2013 robbery-homicide, as reported by Need To Know.

The victim, Carlos Alberto Gauna, was killed during an attempt to steal his pick-up truck in La Matanza Partido.
After investigators determined that Paola had marked the victim, she was sentenced to 13 years and four months in prison.
Following the viral birthday footage, prison guards searched her cell on 25 February and confiscated her phone.
Her device had previously been taken the previous August, shortly after she gave an interview about her story.
At the time, she revealed: “I’m given product deals and job offers, mainly for ads and casinos.”
The incident has stirred fresh debate over inmates having phones.
They are allowed in some cases, but social media remains strictly off-limits.
