She was eventually lowered to the ground, shaken but uninjured, on Thursday (5 Mar).
The drama unfolded on the opening night of the Fiesta Provincial del Trigo in Tres Arroyos, Argentina.
Fair officials said the ride stopped automatically after one of the passengers lifted the safety bar.
The Ferris wheel remained stuck for several minutes, causing anxiety among those trapped high above the ground.
One by one, and without visible safety equipment, passengers were helped down from the cabins.
Despite the scare, everyone made it to the ground safe and sound, as reported by Need To Know.
Following the incident, the local council ordered the Ferris wheel to remain temporarily out of service as a precaution.
