Terrified passengers were left dangling in the air after a ferris wheel tipped on its side at a busy fairground.
A hook supporting the manually operated ride suddenly snapped, according to eyewitnesses.
It sent the huge wheel lurching sideways.

Screams were heard as the ride leaned over dangerously.
Cops rushed to help stranded passengers clamber down to safety, as reported by Need to Know.
Miraculously, everyone on board was rescued without injury.
The ride has since been pulled from the fairground.
The drama unfolded yesterday (28 Sept) in Madhya Pradesh, India.
Police confirmed the malfunction was caused by a broken hook – and stressed the ride was not motorised.
However, they did not say whether safety checks were carried out before the fair opened this year.
Locals have now demanded tighter inspections of fairground attractions, and authorities are expected to review safety protocols following the scare.
