A devastated Brit who makes keepsakes for grieving families has ‘lost everything’ in a flash flood in the first proper rain all summer.
Leah Courtney runs a small business creating memory bears from a cabin in her garden.
But it was badly damaged during torrential rain from a storm that hit parts of the country on Thursday.

Courtney, of Great Barr, Birmingham, said she waded through knee-high water with bare feet to try and salvage anything she could.
But later she found her insurance didn’t cover the damage, as reported by Need To Know.
She said: “Machines have been lost, storage units have been damaged.
“I’ve lost my whole space where I create beautiful memory bears for people.
“I’ve got nothing left.”
She had to take machinery, blades and pins into her house but is worried about the impact on her autistic son.
She added: “I’ve now got objects that are dangerous around an autistic little boy who doesn’t understand.”
She knew the area had flooded before she moved into the house in 2016 but did not expect it to happen again.
“I literally just thought it was going to be a thunderstorm like we’ve had many times before,” she said.
“This was ungodly.”
And adding insult to injury she wasn’t insured.
“We’re not covered,” she added.
“Outbuildings aren’t covered.
“It was a little clause I wasn’t aware of.”
