The ride in question has been identified as the Ala Delta, or Hang Glider.
After it broke down, it remained closed for the rest of the night, and no injuries were reported.
Several local media outlets reported that those stuck on the ride were able to “slowly descend within the structure itself, without needing to walk on foot or be evacuated by external assistance.”
However, one fairgoer who claims to have been on the ride at the time said on social media: “I was there with my two cousins, one aged eight and the other 16.
“Luckily, we were lower down, and they carried us down because the seatbelts started coming undone and smoke began to appear.
“We were pretty scared at first, but once we were down, we started laughing about the whole thing.”
Another added: “I was there right when it happened. The worst part was that they didn’t want to give us a refund – they only gave it reluctantly. Everything was awful.”

It happened on Tuesday (19 Aug) at around 11:30pm, as reported by What’s The Jam.
As to what caused the blunder, one local claimed: “The Ala Delta is a free-fall ride, so sometimes it doesn’t quite take the drop properly.
“You’ll notice there’s a small bump before the fall – it’s not a fault, it just needs a bit of momentum.”
However, Nazaret offered a different version, claiming: “I was there when it happened. The power just went out in one of the ride’s four phases, so it stopped automatically for safety.
“It’s not a maintenance problem – these things just happen and can’t really be helped.”
Finally, Jhony reassured future fairgoers: “It’s a super safe ride.

“There are lots of safety sensors, and even if everything is fine, if it jumps slightly, it automatically locks and stops the seats for safety.”
