A gospel singer suffered fatal head injuries after a fairground ride collapsed.
Carolina Beatriz de Deus Maciel was thrown from the ride when a section of track detached and her carriage plunged to the ground.
The 21-year-old singer was riding on the Caterpillar ride, a small family-friendly attraction, at the time of the collapse.

The rising star suffered fatal injuries when the carriage flew off the tracks at the Minas Center Park, a travelling fair that was visiting the city of Itabirito, Brazil, at the time.
Local firefighters confirmed that the young artist could not resist her injuries and died at the scene on Saturday night (11 Apr).
Three other passengers sustained injuries during the collapse and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Civil Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the mechanical failure.
Two men aged 45 and 24 have already been arrested in flagrante by the police as part of the ongoing investigation into potential negligence or manslaughter.
The organisers said in a statement: “The company deeply regrets what happened and expresses its solidarity with the victim’s family and close friends.
“We are cooperating fully with the competent authorities to clarify the circumstances.”
The park has since been shut down and was seen being dismantled by workers the following morning, as reported by Need To Know.

Beatriz was known as a promising talent in Brazil’s prominent gospel music scene.
She defined herself as a musician “set apart for God”.
Her sudden death has sparked a wave of grief among her fans and the tight-knit community of Itabirito.
She was buried in her hometown on Sunday afternoon.
The investigation is ongoing.
