A major World Cup airport was flooded with sewage just weeks before the tournament, leaving horrified travellers wading through foul water.
Sickening footage shows dark liquid gushing through a corridor, as passengers were forced to trudge through the mess.
Chunks of debris from a collapsed ceiling were also seen strewn across the floor.

The stomach-churning scenes unfolded in a transit area of Terminal 1 at Mexico City International Airport.
The incident happened at around 3pm last Wednesday (29 Apr), just over a month before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Mexico City set to host matches.
Airport authorities said maintenance and renovation work damaged a pipe on an upper floor of Terminal 1 – the airport’s busiest hub.
The leak sent sewage rushing down a ramp designed for disabled passengers before spreading into crowded areas.
Swift action was taken to contain the situation, including temporarily shutting off water to toilets as a precaution.
Officials said they were working to limit the damage and restore normal service, as reported by creatorzine.com.
It remains unclear whether repairs have been fully completed as of today (5 May).
Refurbishment work at the airport began in May 2025 ahead of the World Cup, with nearly 9 billion MXN (£381m) invested in upgrades.
But by February 2026, only around 40 per cent had been completed.
Authorities expect progress to reach about 80 per cent by kick-off, with the rest finished afterwards.
