A woman has died in a tragic skydiving accident after sending her mother a terrifying message.
Li Qi, a former bank worker, had only started working with the skydiving operator a month before the fatal accident.
The 24-year-old was taking part in a jump with an instructor to help produce online content for the marketing department.

But the pair landed in a body of water after their parachute drifted off course due to strong winds in Tianjin, China.
Li had recently left a stable job at a bank to work for Beijixing Tianjin Skydive Base at Douzhuang Airport in Binhai New Area.
The company, which reportedly began operations in early 2025, is said to have arranged the jump to allow staff to gain experience for better sales promotion.
The victim’s role involved livestreaming to sell skydiving tickets and packages.
According to her colleague Deng Yao, who jumped on the same flight, four groups departed the aircraft.
While others landed safely in designated areas, Li and the instructor drifted into the water.
Rescue efforts were delayed and it took around six hours for professional teams to recover the bodies, as reported by Need To Know.
Li sent a worried message to her mother moments before boarding the plane that suggests she was unprepared for the jump.
She said: “Mum, the company suddenly told us to skydive! I haven’t even had time to change my clothes.”
Her boyfriend, who she planned to marry next year, said he supported the job because it was close to home and did not involve jumping.
Investigators are currently auditing the private aviation firm’s safety logs and equipment maintenance records to determine if negligence played a part in the accident.
The accident took place on 26 April, but details of the ongoing investigation were only made public last week.
All skydiving activities have been suspended at the site as the investigation continues.
