A woman living with incurable brain cancer has gone viral after revealing her latest MRI results using a gender reveal-style cake.

Abi Feltham, a content creator, shared the emotional moment online where the video gathered over 3.1m views.

The 38-year-old, who has a grade 3 oligodendroglioma brain tumour, used blue icing inside the cake to symbolise that her tumour remained stable.

Abi, from London, filmed the reveal with her partner Stefan in their living room on 17 May after receiving the MRI results from her oncologist, as reported by Need To Know.

“We already received the results of the MRI from my oncologist and ordered a gender reveal cake from a cake company to reflect them,” she said.

“We acted surprised in the video as it was a fun way to tell the world our positive results and share our joy.”

Abi was diagnosed in 2024 and underwent two brain surgeries to remove around 90 per cent of the tumour.

She also had 33 rounds of radiotherapy and six cycles of chemotherapy to slow the growth of the remaining tumour.

The MRI, which she had on 6 January, showed no signs of growth.

“Unfortunately, one day the tumour will start growing again, so the fact it is not doing anything at the moment is the best result we can hope for,” she said.

Abi explained that she often uses humour to help cope with the emotional strain of being a cancer patient.

“Waiting for my MRI results is always quite overwhelming, so doing it this way offers me some relief from all the heaviness,” she said.

“I often use dark humour to cope because sometimes the reality of being a cancer patient is just too heavy to sit with all the time.

“When your life suddenly becomes appointments, scans, treatment, and constant uncertainty, making jokes about it can be a way of taking some power back.”

In the clip, Abi and Stefan can be seen cutting into the cake together before discovering the blue filling inside.

The pair immediately hug and celebrate the positive news.
